Baptism

Baptism is intended to be an essential part of the spiritual foundation of all Christians. Water baptism was commanded by Jesus and throughout the New Testament as an outward expression of an inward decision to make Jesus Christ Lord.  We baptize people by immersion (complete submersion in water) because this is how it was done in the Bible.  We do not baptize infants because only those who were able to make a decision to follow the ways of Christ and repent for their sins were baptized in the scriptures.
We hold baptisms every fifth Sunday of any month. All the information you need is found in the Water Baptism brochure located in any of our four lobbies.

Baby Dedications

We do not baptize infants (see above), but we recognize that infant baptism is a part of many families’ history and tradition.  Because of this we offer Baby Dedications.  In this portion of our services we pray for the child and the parents that God would protect, lead, and guide the child being dedicated as well as the parents.  We hold Baby Dedications several times throughout the year (usually on a fifth Sunday of a month).  You can watch for it in the bulletin or call the church office to sign up for the next scheduled Baby Dedication.
