EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN CENTER

Getting unstuck in 2008! Have you felt stuck in some area of your life? Learn how to maximize the life God has given you to live!

Steps to Freedom through Christ

(Large group teaching from 7:00 to 7:30)

Starting Tuesday, April 8 we will have 12 weeks of focus on a Christ-centered model for recovery that has helped many break free from various habitual or addictive behaviors. The key to freedom and victory is to identify the root cause of a problem and instead of running away from it, running to God!

This life-changing teaching is for individuals and their loved ones who struggle with self-destructive behavior in any of its forms. Steps to Freedom ultimately helps you break negative thought patterns, manage emotions, and break out of the cycle of sinful behavior. We all are struggling, come discover how to embrace the promise of Jesus to win the spiritual battles confronting you.

Living The Steps to Freedom: Men and Women

These groups meet to work through the Steps to Freedom material and help to support each other in learning to break free from life’s hurts, negative thoughts and emotional patters, and to learn to live free.

Breaking Free

Many Christians are locked in a cycle of addiction: particularly in the areas of alcohol and drug abuse.  This group seeks to break the cycle and habits of addiction and offer True Freedom through Christ.

Living in Purity

Everywhere we turn today, sexual temptation rears its ugly head, but this is especially tempting for men.  It takes more than a little self-effort to resist temptation. It takes a Game Plan.  Join other Christian men who are working the plan.

Network for Life / Prison Fellowship

Ex-prisoners (men or women), families of prisoners or ex-prisoners, victim’s or volunteers interested in aftercare ministry are all welcomed. In a positive, non-condemning way Network for Life provides an alternative model of post-prison life. We are saints according to God's Word (Ephesians 1), and true freedom comes from realizing our identity in Christ.

Beyond the Wedding Support Group

Come and meet other couples who want to discuss and learn practical ways to make their marriage exciting and lasting. For more information on topics covered in this group please visit www.emmanuelcc.org/ministries/recovery.

DivorceCare: Men and Women

One of the most tragic events a person can go through is a separation or divorce...the mental, physical and spiritual toll it puts on a person can last for years. DivorceCare is for individuals who are still feeling the effects of divorce or separation. The curriculum is designed to give you a greater hope and help you with fears in dealing with new or old relationships.

Out of the Shadows Women's Program

This program biblically explores some of the trouble areas of abuse, painful relationships and incidents, past or present, that have produced emotional pain. Using a format of instruction, testimonies, role plays and exercises with small group discussion each week builds upon another to form a comprehensive and productive path to Christ’s healing. Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 p.m. Registration is required with a $10 one-time fee. Please call 763-784-7777 ext. 754 or email recovery@emmanuelcc.org.
