One thing most people don’t know about me: I have a confusing name situation.
How long I’ve been in ministry: I’ve been involved in ministry since I was in eighth grade. I started on the worship team and then traveled and recorded with a Christian band through most of high school and began leading worship and writing music somewhere in the middle of all of that.
When and where did you get saved? I was four years old and my great grandmother passed away. I still can remember the conversation in my parent's living room with my mom as we talked about hope in Jesus. In eighth grade is when I really learned what it meant to live life following Jesus.
Favorite singer: Impossible to pick one…. Brooke Frasier, Jesus Culture, Hillsong United, Fee, Mainstay, MuteMath, Mat Kearney, Passion.
Life-changing moment: The day my son was born. It forever changed how I understood God’s deep and unconditional love.
Fears: Living life too "safe."
Favorite book: The book of Hebrews.
My favorite teacher and why: My fifth grade teacher Mr. Goesch. He made life, learning, and loving God all fun. He forever changed my outlook on life.
Most exotic destination: Jill and I went to the beach in Hawaii for our five year wedding anniversary.
What makes you laugh? My son is hilarious. He can’t even talk yet but he knows how to work a room!
Favorite scripture verse: Isaiah 30:15.
Life motto: God is a God of new beginnings. When God does something new we only have two options: Get on board or get out of the way.
My hero: Anyone who follows their dreams and lives out their calling.
Favorite music or band: I love Praise and Worship music (go figure)… I’m always looking for new music. I believe music is one of the ways we experience a taste of the newness and freshness of God.
